The Chinese delegation from China's Export /Import Bank is holding talks with Government Officials in Rarotonga about the $9.3 million concessional loan that Government has decided to use to cover costs to host the 2009 Mini South Pacific Games.
The delegation will assist Government Officials towards final arrangements with the loan.
Government decided to take the Chinese' low 2 percent interest loan after being unable to find an alternative funding for the games.
Included within the games project is the repair and upgrade of existing sports facilities and the National stadium, the relocation and building of a new complex for Ministry of Education and upgrade of the solid and liquid waste compound and water supply in Te Puka, Nikao.
