KEEP RAROTONGA CLEAN

As more new motor vehicles come in, the old are shipped out, all for the sake of keeping Rarotonga clean.

Recycle Cook Islands are collecting old batteries and cars to be crushed at its Ngatangiia site before being shipped to New Zealand.

According to RCI manager Rob Newman other metals like roofing iron and stainless steel are also baled and shipped off. He said anyone can call and arrange for pick up of these materials - "all for the sake of keeping Rarotonga clean".
