RULING PARTY NOT CONCERNED ABOUT VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE

Vice President of the ruling Democratic Party in the Cook Islands, Makirere Poila says the party is not concerned about MP Norman George's moving a vote of no confidence against the Government.

Poila said that all the Members of Parliament are loyal to Government.

George recently told Parliament that he was making the move because Ministers were more concerned about job security than running the country.

He has given notice of a vote which is likely to happen when the House resumes in April.

This years first session of the House retired yesterday after passing a number of Bills including the much awaited amendment to the 1971-72 Entry,Residence and Departure Act.
