A meeting between Foreign Affairs Minister Wilkie Rasmussen and visiting Phillipines Ambassador to New Zealand His Excellency Bienvenido Tejano was held yesterday and believed to have focused on establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.
His Excellency also met with the Phillipino community in the Cook Islands yesterday before returning to Wellington today.
Two other overseas dignitaries, including Michael Ronen, Ambassador Designate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Israel and HIs Excellency the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Australia, have yet to confirm their visiting dates.
