HAWAII CONSULATE CLOSE

An earlier announcement by Foreign Affairs Minister Wilkie Rasmussen for all Cook Islands overseas consul representation to be reviewed has seen the close down of the Hawaii Consulate.

According to the newly appointed Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Mike Mitchell, Government is still considering the future of the Auckland, Wellington, Australia and Brussels offices.

One of the reasons for the review is due to costs in the running of these Offices.
